The validation dataset (GSE23697) samples were divided into two groups of non-DOMS and DOMS patients, visualized using the R package ‘ggpubr’; p < 0.05 was set as significant, and one-way ANOVA was used. Bottom: real-time PCR using animal skeletal muscle samples. Data shown were normalized to GAPDH expression and were relative to expression in the non-DOMS (n = 3, error bars represent mean ± SD, *p < 0.05, and **p < 0.01 by Student’s t-test).
